Rauzan-Segla is a Second Growth located in Margaux famous for fragrance and scented wine.  Owned by Chanel since 1994 and with substantial investment since then.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRauzan-Segla owns 70 ha of vineyards and are planted with the four Bordeaux grape varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon (61%), Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.  The vineyard practices are terroir-friendly. Since 2017, we have adopted an organic approach. We only revert to sustainable growing methods when forced to do so. In some plots, we only grow organically. The Boston plots, for example, are like a training vineyard where our techniques are perfected. This “green thinking” is part of an overall way of working to which every team member, whatever his or her responsibilities, is committed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChâteau Rauzan-Ségla's grand vin is crafted with infinite care and its grapes sourced from the main vineyards where the finest and, in particular, the old Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines grow in perfectly worked soils. When the Cabernet Franc and the Petit Verdot are included in the blend, they add yet another layer of complexity to the wine. The vinification work is dictated by our quest for precision. The use of small vats enables us to create a number of batches corresponding to the increasingly carefully-demarcated plots. Everyone asks themselves the following question: what fruit is worthy of the Grand Vin? Selection is our obsession.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChâteau Rauzan-Ségla's little brother, Ségla comes from the vineyards that gravitate around the central vineyards. Its role is to invite wine drinkers into the world of Rauzan-Ségla, to introduce them to the mysteries of its terroir and its traditional craftmanship, which is constantly honed through the use of selected modern tools. It shares its very fine style with its elder brother.
