The clay-limestone sub-soil, with a predominance of clay, well suits the Pinot Noir which expresses itself here with richness, softness and refinement. The layers of grey, marly chalk give this Premier Cru distinction, character, elegance and bouquet. Fruit aromas combine with a musky note and a delicate oaky hint on the nose. Good ageing potential.

Grèves 1er Cru, Vigne de L'Enfant Jésus: The name "Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus" refers to an old story. It is said that Marguerite du Saint Sacrement, the founding carmelite of the "Domestiques de la famille du Saint Enfant Jésus", predicted the birth of the king of France, Louis XIV, although her mother, Anne of Austria, was sterile. On the birth of the future "Roi Soleil", this exceptional vineyard which belonged to the Carmelites, took on the name "Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus". In 1791, when all national property was sold, Bouchard Père & Fils put in a bid for the vineyard, situated in the heart of the 32 hectares of the Beaune Grèves appellation, of which it still has the monopoly today. Superb fruit and spice aromas with an oaky note on the nose. Intense, full and yet delicate on the palate, the wine has a charming velvetiness. Quite a rarity in this Pinot Noir territary. Before it was given the appellation of Clos Saint-Landry, this vineyard appeared under the name of Tielandry, meaning the estate of a certain Landry. It is then the property of the abbery of Maizieres before the purchase by Antoine Philibert Joseph Bouchard in 1791. Since then, Bourchard Pere & Fils has preciously kept the monopoly of this white Premier Cru of 1.98 hectares. Sauve aromas of fruit and flowers harmoniously blended with just the right touch of oak. This is a rich wine with expressive aroms and extraordinary smoothness. Good ageing potential.

Beaune 1er Cru Clos de La Mousse: The oldest trace of Clos de la Mousses dates back to 1220, when it was bequeathed to the church of Notre Dame de Beaune by canon Edme de Saudon. During the Revolution, this fine vineyard became divided up. During the 19th century, the Bouchard family bought several vineyards of this delicate cru to obtain exclusively. The 3.36 hectares of Clos de la Mousse were bought together on the 13th April 1872 with the acquisition by Antonin Bouchard of the last vineyard of "20 ares 28 centiares". We find in the wines of this appellation a structure in the mouth that is always very rich and unctuous. Rich bouquet with intense mineral notes. Located on sloping ground, more clayey than limestone, it gives wines full of finesse and elegance. Fresh and refined fragrances of flowers and fruits. On the palate, it is distinguished by a particular subtlety: a delicious marriage of nervousness and suppleness. Aerial and round, it is very charming from an early age.

Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru Valmur

The terroir of this Grand Cru is divided into two parts, to the right and to the left of the path to the Sainte Vaubourg fountain on shallow clay-limestone soils. Its shape evokes that of a small valley, hence the name Valmur. Charming bouquet with a surprising fruitiness and a good mineral presence. Structured for aging thanks to a dense and compact clay soil resting on a limestone slab, the wines are long and racy. Floral nose, fruit flavors enhanced with intense mineral notes evolving into slightly smoky touches.
