The property covers 25 hectares\n\u003cbr\u003emost of which is vineyards, although there are some olive groves and\n\u003cbr\u003eorchards. These range between 580-980 metres above sea level on the\n\u003cbr\u003eslopes of Mount Etna. The vines are all free-standing bush vines and\n\u003cbr\u003emany are planted on their own roots. Cornelissen is certified organic\n\u003cbr\u003efor its farming practices, but the practices of the estate go much\n\u003cbr\u003efurther towards minimal intervention and natural production than\n\u003cbr\u003emost organic and biodynamic certifications require. The flagship wine\n\u003cbr\u003eis the Magma Rosso, a varietal Nerello Mascalese from a single\n\u003cbr\u003evineyard in Contrada Barbabecchi that was first planted in 1910.
