The Garnacha (22%) is\n\u003cbr\u003efrom La Pedriza in Tudelilla, Rioja Oriental, a\n\u003cbr\u003e40-hectare estate with unbeatable conditions for\n\u003cbr\u003egrowing this variety.\n\u003cbr\u003eWe started picking in mid-October. We harvested\n\u003cbr\u003ethe grapes manually and took them in refrigerated\n\u003cbr\u003evehicles to the winery where, for the first time in\n\u003cbr\u003ethe brand’s history, they underwent our rigorous\n\u003cbr\u003eoptical selection process, examining each and\n\u003cbr\u003eevery berry. Alcoholic fermentation took place\n\u003cbr\u003enaturally and malolactic fermentation concluded\n\u003cbr\u003eat the end of the year. In March 2016, the chosen\n\u003cbr\u003ewines were put in barrels to start aging separately:\n\u003cbr\u003ethe Tempranillo, for 36 months, with six manual\n\u003cbr\u003erackings, in American oak barrels averaging 4\n\u003cbr\u003eyears in age; the Garnacha, for 30 months, with\n\u003cbr\u003efive manual rackings, in American oak barrels\n\u003cbr\u003ewith two and three wines.
