La Grange Tiphaine Clef de Sol Blanc Montlouis Sur Loire 2022
Pale golden color with green reflects. Lovely notes of honey, pear and apricot. Medium body with great balance. Velvety palate with mineral hints and long finish.
Our idea of this cuvée: for us, Montlouis-sur-Loire is a great terroir and the Chenin magnifies it wonderfully. Clef de Sol sounds like a tribute to this duo capable of taking us towards the purity of the mineral.
The vine age for Clef de Sol Blanc is around 80 years old. Harvested by hand by sorting the grapes of Montlouis-sur-Loire. Long alcoholic fermentation in barrels with aging on lees without racking until bottling. The purpose of the barrel is only to provide controlled oxidation.

Carolie and Damien Delecheneau run this fourth-generation family domaine set on a beautiful plateau in the Montlouis subdistrict of Amboise, overlooking the Loire. Damien is an excellent winemaker, crafting terrific cuvees from not only Chenin Blanc, but also the red grapes Gamay, Cabernet Franc, Cot, and Grolleau. Some of the vines are very old, but the sense of experimentation and play is alive here. TO a one, the wines are fresh, energetic, and exciting.
