In 1979 Miguel Torres was the first foreign wine producer to become established in Chile, Curicó Valley. The Torres Family chose the country as the perfect location for their grape and winegrowing activity based on its excellent conditions for developing the industry. But the winery did not rely only on Chile’s excellent climatic conditions. Miguel Torres Chile was the first to introduce new technologies in wine production, such as fermentation in stainless steel tanks and aging in French oak barrels. Miguel Torres is still innovative today and producing very good consistent wines at all levels.
