(Wine Advocate Score 92) The Schloss Vollrads 2015 Schlossberg Riesling trocken GG is clear, cool and stony on the nose, and a typical reflection of the distinctive Schlossberg terroir. Full-bodied, fresh and with a nice transparency and raciness, this is a very elegant, light-footed, finesse-full and stimulatingly salty Riesling with a mouthwatering finish. I cannot remember having tasted a better Schlossberg vom Schloss Vollrads than the 2015.

Schloss Vollrads is one of Europe's oldest wineries. A document in the Mainz City Archives shows that on 18th November 1211 wines were already sold. In 2011 we celebrated the 800 years of viticulture of Schloss Vollrads. The distinctive flavour of the Schloss Vallrads Riesling wines can be attributed to our unique terroir. In the Rheingau, six different geological formations form layers of one structure which provides the vine roots with a variety of minerals.
