Wonderfully lifted, floral and fragrant with subtle notes of lychee, ripe passionfruit and cut grass. Full of ripe citrus and fleshy opulent lemon curd fruits the mid palate is nothing short of alluring and complex. Best enjoyed in its youth with Asian salads, oysters and fresh shellfish.

In keeping with our Rhône influenced wine styles, the Woodcutter’s Roussanne, Viognier, Marsanne is complex, textured yet eminently quaffable white.

The dominant variety is Roussanne which provides structure and finesse, the Viognier offers a pure, floral lift and finishes the wine with refinement and elegance, while the Marsanne gives the wine palate texture and richness.

This blend demonstrates that these non-traditional varieties have adapted to their new home in the Barossa just as well as their red counterparts have done over the last century or so.

Torbreck Vintners was founded by David Powell in 1994. The roots go back to 1992 when Dave, who was then working at Rockford, began to discover and clean up a few sections of dry-grown old vines. The Torbreck endeavour is based around the classic Barossa Valley varietals of Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro, and a love for the wines of France's Rhone Valley.

Torbreck pays tribute to these vineyards with minimal intervention, creating wines of richness, structure and length that age gracefully.

Torbreck has also been fortunate to have the opportunity to invest in the protection of some of the Barossa’s most precious vineyards, after accepting fruit from them over many years. The historic Hillside Vineyard at Lyndoch, The Laird Vineyard in the sub-region of Marananga and the Greenock Keller Vineyard owned by the Schultz family, are all now under the custodianship of Torbreck.
