"The team here continue to serve up a belend of excellent and great wines - they should be better known - the wines speak for themselves!" Burgundy Report December 2020
The history of the Boursot Family dates back to, at least, 1550 with Guillaume Boursot already winegrower. He generated a lineage in Chambolle, all winegrowers from father to son. Ernest Boursot, born in 1896, and his brother, André Boursot, each owned a domain passed down by their ancestors. At their death, my father, Jean Boursot, born in 1922, inherited a part of the vineyard from his father and his uncle. At this period, he sold all the production to wine merchants. In 1974, helped by his wife Charlotte, he decided to put the wine in bottles and opened the first tasting cellar in Chambolle-Musigny.
Rémy Boursot, born 1958, February 8th, took over the domain in 1984. This one had 4 hectares spread over the appellations Bourgogne Chardonnay, Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Chambolle-Musigny Villages et 3 premiers crus of Chambolle-Musigny.
In 1993, we created the Maison Boursot Père et Fils which allowed us to expand our range of appellations by purchasing grapes. All our appellations are harvested, vinified and bottled by ourselves. We select winegrowers who work like us and we create a long term partnership.
Romaric, born 1988, March 24th, after completing studies in entrepreneurship and international trade, joined Boursot Père & Fils as co-manager in October 2011. He his responsible for the commercial side and the corporate marketing.
Romuald, born 1991, July 5th, after obtaining a degree in oenology and viticulture, joined the winery as vineyard manager and winemaker since July 2012.
