Collection: Gustave Lorentz

Gustave Lorentz is a grower-merchant producer at the village of Bergheim with over 250 years of history.  Gustave Lorentz produces a range of high quality Riesling and Gewurztraminer from its Grand Cru holdings in Altenburg de Bergheim and Kanzlerberg.

Altenberg Grand Cru from Bergheim is on the finage of the medieval city of Bergheim. Excellent south facing aspect with a fairly steep slope at an altitude of 220 to 320 meters. The perfect harmony between a powerful and virile body, a fine and subtle aromatic expression, distinguish the Altenberg grands crus, gastronomic wines par excellence.

Grand Cru Kanzlerberg is on the finage of the municipality of Bergheim.  It has excellent south and south-west facing aspect with fairly steep slopes at an average altitude of 250m.  The Grands Crus Kanzlerberg require aging favorable to their power and breadth, which evoke the union of heavy soil and the aromas of the grape variety.

Gustave Lorentz converted the entire vineyard property (33 hectares) to organic farming in 2009.  Since the 2012 vintage, vineyard has been controlled and certified Organic Agriculture by Ecocert, guaranteeing our production method.

Gustave Lorentz wines are served in numerous Michelin starred restaurants such as Auberge de l'Ill in Illhaeusern and La Tour d'Argent in Paris.  The wines are also served in Business Class and First Class in different airlines such as Air France, Emirates, Qatar and Japan Airlines.
