Collection: J P Grossot

Corinne and Jean-Pierre Grossot are the third generation of winemakers at this family domaine in AOC Chablis. The Chardonnay grape has a unique mineral quality imparted by the Kimmeridgian soil. The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed in a horizontal press to ensure the fullest extraction of flavors and aromas. Their high quality Chablis have brought them international acclaim and have placed their wines in many of the world's finest establishments.

The wines are exclusively from our own vines. We are fortunate to farm 18 hectares spread over beautiful plots of Chablis and Chablis Premiers Crus, namely Vaucoupin, Mont de Milieu, Cote de Troëmes, Fourchaume and Les Fourneaux.

The estate's vines are mostly located in the commune of Fleys, but also in the villages of Chablis, Chichée and Fontenay near Chablis. The age of these vines is very heterogeneous, ranging from 5 to 45 years. Most of these are pruned “Guyot double” (traditional Chablisian method) and the new vines are pruned “Guyot simple” in order to reduce the overcrowding of vegetation and therefore the risk of disease.

Our vineyard has been cultivated in a sustainable way for about twenty years, which means maintaining the soil by plowing and grassing, adding organic fertilizers, short pruning and disbudding, but also the use of treatments. phytosanitary reduced to its strictest necessity.

In 2012, we began to work all our plots respecting the specifications of organic cultivation, today we are certified in organic cultivation by Ecocert. This reflection on respect for nature led us in 2006 to recover and crush the branches of our vines in order to heat the buildings on the estate with a wood boiler.
