Collection: Opus One

Arguably America's most famous winery, this was originally a creation made between Baron Philippe de Rothschild
of Chateau Mouton and Robert Mondavi. After several years of lack of management and mediocre releases in the late
90s and early 2000s which coincides with the recent sale of the Mondavi empire, this estate has now sprung back to
life. Resurrected by the new and dedicated team consisting of CEO David Peason and winemaker Michael Silacci,
Opus One has bought significant vineyards in Oakville, tended scrupulously the vines and made improvements in the
chai. The result which we believe first showed with this 2003 release is intriguing. We applaud their meticulous
effort.
