From Domaine Ghislaine Barthod in France’s Chambolle-Musigny, the Chambolle-Musigny 2022 is a refined 100% Pinot Noir sourced from nine minuscule parcels scattered throughout the appellation on clay-limestone soils that impart impeccable balance and infectious energy. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2022 vintage—marked by warm conditions yielding concentrated yet elegant fruit—undergo whole-cluster fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 14-18 months' aging in French oak barrels (20-30% new) to enhance texture and purity. As a family estate founded in the 1920s emphasizing sustainable practices, this production yields a mid purple wine with garnet edges and poised vibrancy.

Tasting Notes A wine of terrific complexity and nuance with forward, open fruit and lighter tannins, blending red berries, sous-bois, and pressed flowers in a medium-bodied palate of raspberry, wild strawberry, and supple spice, showing wonderful definition from nine village plots. The nose reveals red berries, sous-bois, and pressed flowers. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and harmonious, with supple tannins, lightly spiced notes, and gentle grip, leading to a long, graceful finish.

Serving and Cellaring Serve at 14-16°C with 30-45 minutes of decanting to enhance aromas. Ideal with roasted poultry, mushroom dishes, or charcuterie. Enjoy now through 2035, developing greater earthy and silky nuances over time.
