From Domaine Jean-Pierre Guyon in France’s Vosne-Romanée, the Echézeaux Grand Cru 2022 is a refined 100% Pinot Noir sourced from a select parcel within the prestigious Echézeaux Grand Cru vineyard, featuring clay-limestone soils that impart elegance and profound structure. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2022 vintage—characterized by warm days and cool nights yielding concentrated yet vibrant fruit—undergo whole-cluster fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 18-20 months’ aging in French oak barrels (40% new) to enhance complexity and finesse. Certified organic since 2012, this production emphasizes minimal intervention and terroir expression, yielding a deep ruby wine with garnet edges and exceptional intensity.

Tasting Notes A refined, opulent red with vibrant red fruit and intricate spice, reflecting Echézeaux’s limestone-clay terroir. The nose unveils black cherry, rose petal, graphite, and hints of spice, truffle, and forest floor. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet poised, with silky, firm tannins, vibrant acidity, and flavors of ripe red berries, licorice, and mineral earthiness, leading to a long, refined finish.

Awards and Accolades The 2022 Echézeaux Grand Cru earned 95 points from Jasper Morris (Inside Burgundy) for its concentrated fruit, intricate aromatics, and harmonious structure.

Serving and Cellaring Serve at 16-18°C with 60 minutes of decanting to unfold aromas. Ideal with roasted game, truffle-infused dishes, or aged cheeses. Enjoy now through 2042, developing profound earthy and truffle nuances over time.
