Vietti Barbera d'Asti Tre Vigne DOCG 2022

Vietti Barbera d'Asti Tre Vigne DOCG 2022

From the renowned Vietti winery in Castiglione Falletto, Piedmont, the Barbera d’Asti Tre Vigne 2022 is a lively red from three select vineyards in Asti. Crafted from 100% Barbera, sourced from vines on clay-limestone soils, it’s hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel. Aged 12 months in a combination of large oak casks and barriques, it offers a ruby hue and dynamic freshness.

Winemaking Process

Vietti’s meticulous approach defines this wine. The 2022 vintage undergoes fermentation in stainless steel with 10–14 days of maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aging for 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks and used French oak barriques softens tannins while preserving fruit vibrancy, creating a balanced, food-friendly Barbera with bright acidity and subtle oak influence.

Tasting Notes

A vibrant, juicy red with bright red fruit and lively acidity, showcasing Piedmont’s charm.
The nose reveals red cherry, blackberry, and cassis, with hints of violet, black pepper, and spice. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied and fresh, with zesty acidity, soft tannins, and flavors of red fruit, graphite, and a clean, mineral finish.
