The Marchesi di Barolo Estate encompasses approximately 110ha of vineyards in the Langhe, some of the finest in Piedmont. The cellars are located in the village of Barolo. Since 1929, the estate was run by experienced winemaker Pietro Abbona. He used the Marchesi’s venerable old barrels and let his wines mature in them. These barrels, the “Botti della Marchesa”, are still being used today.
