Produced from 30-year-old vines on sandy-clay limestone soils near the Ebro River, this wine underwent fermentation in stainless steel with native yeasts and 12 months' barrel aging (40% new French oak, 30% used French, 5% American, 25% tank), followed by 18 months in bottle. The 2021 vintage, marked by rain, mild temperatures, and some hail, yields 14% alcohol, pH 3.7, and 4.7 g/L acidity for a fine-grained, chalky texture emphasizing smoothness over extraction. A production of 222,532 bottles highlights its approachable style from this cooler Rioja year.
