This is among the best Chablis produced by Billaud-Simon.  The wine is special in two respects.  First, it is produced from exceptional old vines from the Grand Cru of Blanchots.  Vineyard age is over 65 years old.  Second, while most of the Billaud-Simon Chablis are vinified and matured in stainless and don't see any wood, this wine does age in some large oak.
