Beaune Rouge: This Beaune red comes from five parcels, located in the prolongation of the famous Clos des Mouches and above the Aigrots. The clay-limestone sub-soil, with a predominance of clay, well suits the Pinot Noir which expresses itself here with richness, softness and refinement. A delicate bouquet of red fruit combines with a pleasant touch of oak. Rich, tender and refined on the palate.
Beaune 1er Cru Les Avaux: The name of Les Avaux comes from the lieu-dit "Vaux". Its steep-sloped and clay-limestone sub-soil contributes to the racy elegance of this Premier Cru.
Beaune 1er Cru Les Teurons: Situated near the town of Beaune, between "Les Grieves" and the "Clos de la Mousse". "Les Teurons" is a vineyard famous for its class and harmony. Red fruit aromas with an oaky note on the nose. Soft and generous on the palate, in a lovely harmonious marriage. Good ageing potential.
Beaune 1er Cru Les Marconnets: Bouchard Père & Fils has owned vineyards here since 1791 and today harvests from 2.32 hectares situated at the northernmost point of the territory of Beaune. The layers of grey, marly chalk give this Premier Cru distinction, character, elegance and bouquet. Fruit aromas combine with a musky note and a delicate oaky hint on the nose. Firm and well-built, this wine is both full-bodied and elegant, giving it all its personality. Good ageing potential.
Beaune 1er Cru Clos de la Mousse: This vineyard has been the monopole of Bouchard since 1872. Fruit aromas combined with light toasty notes on the nose. Both fleshy and refined, Clos de la Mousse reveals its charms with deliacy. Good ageing potential.
Grèves 1er Cru, Vigne de L'Enfant Jésus: The name "Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus" refers to an old story. It is said that Marguerite du Saint Sacrement, the founding carmelite of the "Domestiques de la famille du Saint Enfant Jésus", predicted the birth of the king of France, Louis XIV, although her mother, Anne of Austria, was sterile. On the birth of the future "Roi Soleil", this exceptional vineyard which belonged to the Carmelites, took on the name "Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus". In 1791, when all national property was sold, Bouchard Père & Fils put in a bid for the vineyard, situated in the heart of the 32 hectares of the Beaune Grèves appellation, of which it still has the monopoly today. Superb fruit and spice aromas with an oaky note on the nose. Intense, full and yet delicate on the palate, the wine has a charming velvetiness. Very good ageing potential.
