Domaine Bruno Clair is the owner of approximately 11 hectares - 27.18 acres, on the Marsannay commune. The soils of Marsannay are unfortunately little known worldwide and the wines too often underestimated. Because the commune does not have the prestige of its famous neighbours in the south, the wines of Marsannay are often drunk too young. Our soils give rather tannic and well-structured red wines. Waiting for 3 to 8 years according to the vintage often proves essential to maximize the qualitative potential of the wine and your pleasure. The origin of the name of Grasses-Tetes, 1,29 ha -3.18 acres, is not well defined. This soil, located in the middle of the slope, is composed of an argillaceous ground (fatty grounds) mixed with large deposits of limestone (grosses heads). The ground is heavier here which is reflected in the wines: the Marsannay Grasses-Tetes is a more powerful and more tannic wine. Experts often find aromas of red fruit and licorice in this wine. It requires 4 to 8 years of cellaring.
