Long Description
La Dent de Chien is a small 1er Cru (0.64 ha) on steep southwest-facing slopes at 250-300m altitude bordering Le Montrachet, with shallow argilo-calcaire soils and Mediterranean vegetation producing early-ripening Chardonnay of exceptional finesse. Hand-harvested grapes from Château de la Maltroye's 15-ha estate undergo pneumatic pressing, barrel fermentation, partial malolactic, and 12-15 months oak aging (moderate new barrels), yielding structured whites at 13-13.5% alcohol.

Powerful yet tactile palate with pure minerality, sophisticated complexity, and phenomenal length on the finale intensément minérale.
Serving and Cellaring
Serve at 11-13°C in a Chardonnay glass. Drink from 2028-2040 minimum 5 years cellar for full complexity; pairs with lobster, foie gras, or aged Comté.
