From Cuvelier Los Andes in Argentina’s Uco Valley, Mendoza, the Grand Vin 2015 is a refined Bordeaux-style blend dominated by Malbec with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Syrah, sourced from estate vineyards on stony alluvial gravel soils at high elevation that impart concentration and freshness. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2015 vintage—marked by even ripening yielding ripe yet structured fruit—undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 18 months' aging in French oak barrels (50% new) to enhance depth and elegance. Rooted in Bordeaux heritage by the Cuvelier family and overseen by Michel Rolland, this production yields a deep ruby wine with garnet edges and remarkable longevity.

Tasting Notes An elegant, powerful red with ripe black fruit and velvety spice, reflecting Uco Valley's high-altitude terroir. The nose reveals black cherry, dark chocolate, smoked meat, and hints of licorice and violets. On the palate, it is full-bodied and unctuous, with fine-grained tannins, balanced acidity, and flavors of blackberry, mocha, and fig, leading to a long, persistent finish.

Awards and Accolades The 2015 Grand Vin earned 90 points from Wine Advocate for its complex depth and harmonious structure.

Serving and Cellaring Serve at 16-18°C with 60 minutes of decanting to unfold aromas. Ideal with grilled beef, roasted lamb, or aged cheeses. Enjoy now through 2040, developing profound leather and earthy complexities over time.
