(Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy Score 91) Densely purple colour. Morello cherries. Vastly concentrated and rich, but not unbalanced. Very low yields at Chanson de Briailles in 2015, notes Claude. This was the last year of using a pneumatic press which she thinks dries the finish compared to the vertical version. 80% whole bunch. This should work out in time, but it may never have the elegance of the wines made in the vintages on either side. Tasted: July 2019.

Terroir
This cuvee comes from 4 parcels situated mid-slope and spread in homogenous fashion over the whole appellation. The soils are deep and made up in equal parts of limestone and clay, giving the wine lovely balance and great length on the palate. It is a terroir that is very representative of the appellation CORTON.
Tasting
Here, terroir expresses itself strongly but the wine remains elegant, although powerful. A lovely sensation of opulence and fullness, with a very persistent finish and enveloped in a tannic structure that is fine but quite present. Hints of forest floor aromas are found in it, from its earliest youth. With age, it moves towards wilder flavours.
