The Tradition cuvée blends fruit from Janasse’s various Châteauneuf parcels and is vinified in a mix of foudre and barrels to balance power and freshness; the 2022 vintage is widely received as expressive and structured, typical of Janasse’s generous southern Rhône style. The wine is designed for both near‑term enjoyment and medium‑term cellaring, offering immediate plushness with the ability to integrate further over 5–15 years.
Tasting Notes
Critic and retailer notes highlight blackberry and black cherry fruit, violet and floral lift, garrigue (thyme/rosemary), cracked pepper, tobacco and licorice spice, with a full, layered palate and a long, spicy finish.
