Terroir, History & Acclaim

Critical Recognition:
Jasper Morris (Inside Burgundy) 89–91 pts
  • 89–91 Points - Jasper Morris (Inside Burgundy): The new name as from 2023 for the village Vosne blend. Same four quartered cuvee as was the basic Vosne chez Sirugue. Includes north facing Barreaux. Minimal whole bunch here. Fresh red raspberry. On the nose, and the attack. Racy for sure, but develops a little more depth of fruit, good acid balance, light tannins and some persistence. Aimed at being accessible while representing all of Vosne. I like the classicism of the aftertaste. Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Nov 2025 by Jasper Morris MW.
  • The Vosne-Romanée "Harmonie" Terroir: Sourced from selected old-vine parcels (*Vieilles Vignes*) within the village of Vosne-Romanée. The deep clay-limestone soils provide an ideal blend of structural depth and aromatic finesse.
  • Domaine Craftsmanship: Crafted by Arnaud Sirugue and Sophie Noëllat with meticulous, low-intervention techniques. The winemaking focuses on gentle extraction and refined oak aging to let the pure fruit and classic terroir character speak without heaviness.

Highlights

  • 100% old-vine Pinot Noir from village-level parcels in Vosne-Romanée.
  • Awarded **90–92 points** by Jasper Morris (*Inside Burgundy*).
  • An appealing 2024 vintage offering red berry fruit, gentle spice, and silky structure; built to drink well over the next 6 to 10 years.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: Bright ruby-red with delicate lighter edges.
  • Nose: Clean, expressive, and inviting. It displays aromas of ripe red cherry, black raspberry, and a subtle touch of forest floor, underpinned by gentle baking spices.
  • Palate: Dry, medium-bodied, and harmonious. The palate features smooth red fruit flavors supported by fine, silky tannins and crisp, refreshing acidity, leading into an easy, well-rounded finish.

Serving Suggestion

  • Temperature: Serve at 15–17°C to bring out its pleasant red fruit and spice profile.
  • Decanting: A brief 20-to-30 minute aeration helps open its aromatics, though it is approachable early.
  • Western Pairing: Roast duck breast, pork tenderloin, roasted chicken, or wild mushroom dishes.
  • Asian Pairing: Peking duck, soy-sauce braised chicken, or light pork stir-fries.
