(Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy Score 91) This is made up of a part of the Brûlées, les Vigneux, and the young plants from the other vineyards. Racked to tank. Made from entirely destemmed grapes, vinified without sulphur though some has been added since, and aged in 30% new wood. Excellent deep colour, blocky but rich fruit which quite fills the mouth, super-rich on the palate, more strawberry than raspberry, plenty of energy ahead of finesse, a very good result. Tasted: November 2018.

The vines are 30 to 50 years old. From the 2009 vintage, this appellation is the result of a blend of two plots: "les Communes" and "les Vigneux". They are located in the lower part of the hill on clayey limestone soils on alluvium.
