This 1er Cru monopole, likely named "My Land" by an English dignitary, spans 6.31ha planted between 1963-1982 on ideally exposed clay-limestone terrain with iron content, the northeasternmost Premier Cru in Mercurey. Hand-harvested Pinot Noir undergoes traditional vinification with oak aging to enhance structure, yielding full-bodied wines reflecting the site's slightly rustic yet silky character at 13.5% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Cherry, raspberry, and plum fruit weave into a silky texture with floral, earth, iron, and oak spice notes building to a lingering aftertaste. The full-bodied wine shows beautiful volume, velvety tannins, and harmonious richness.
