Sourced from 0.7 ha plots in Bourgogne Côte d'Or AC near Puligny-Montrachet with limestone and Oligocene conglomerate soils, hand-harvested Chardonnay undergoes 6 months lees aging partly in used oak barrels to preserve fruit purity. Patrick Javillier's blending philosophy combines complementary terroirs from his 10-ha Meursault-based domaine, vinified parcel-by-parcel then assembled for balance at 13% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Light straw yellow; aromas of distinguished fresh tropical fruit, brioche, floral notes, and stone fruit. Elegant, balanced palate that is fresh, mineral, round, and floral with citrus finale, nothing dominating, and good persistence.
Serving and Cellaring
Serve at 11-13°C in a Chardonnay glass. Drink from 2022-2029; pairs with rich fish dishes, veal, lobster gratin, grilled prawns, or soft cheeses.
