Red volcanic rock makes this location unique on the Middle Moselle. Unmistakable aromas, exotic-spicy and completely different than in directly neighboring locations. Large Riesling with high storage potential. Auslese are top wines made from fully ripe (50%), partly noble rotten (50%) selected grapes. Highly ripe, selected grapes harvested late produce very long-lasting, concentrated wines that are bursting with fruit and minerality. A minimum maturity is required by law for each predicate level, which we of course always exceed because we want to produce the best possible wines.
