(Wine Advocate Score 94+) As envisaged by the Altare family, this terrific wine is always a bit richer and more concentrated than its peers in the Langhe Nebbiolo category. The Elio Altare 2019 Langhe Giàrborina is quite intentionally fashioned as a "Barolo" released one year early. That extra power and density is highlighted in this vintage. This lovely expression is redolent of black fruit, wild plum, tarry smoke and licorice.
