In oak casks for between 16 and 20 months (between 60 and 100% new oak depending on the vintage). Bottled with no fining and no filtering. (Allen Burghound Score 89-92) Discreet but not invisible wood frames an equally spicy and appealingly fresh array of pomegranate and red cherry aromas. The seductive medium-bodied flavors possess a caressing and very rounded mouth feel before concluding in a dusty, sappy and lingering finale. The 2015 Chaumes is a wine of finesse.
