Sourced from Barolo area vineyards on calcareous marl and clay soils with south/southeast/southwest exposures, this 100% Nebbiolo undergoes spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks for ~15 days (22-28°C), followed by gentle pressing and over 2 years aging in large Slavonian oak barrels. The "No Name" label protests regulatory restrictions, capturing Barolo quality at Langhe DOC level with 13.5% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red with purple highlights and violet reflections; persistent ethereal nose of violets, roses, fresh fruits, raspberries, tamarindo, spices, and confettura. Dry, harmonious, velvety, full-bodied palate shows elegant freshness, excellent acidity, beautiful tannic texture, and persistent fruit-driven finish.
Serving and Cellaring
Serve at 16-18°C in a Burgundy glass; decant 1 hour. Drink from 2025-2030 for optimal balance; pairs with Piedmontese classics like wild game, braised meats, Bourguignonne, or hearty stews.
