Henri Bourgeois Sancerre Les Côtes aux Valets Blanc 2019
From Domaine Henri Bourgeois in Chavignol, Loire Valley, the Sancerre Les Côtes aux Valets Blanc 2019 is a refined Sauvignon Blanc from a chalky clay plot in Vinon, Sancerre. Hand-harvested from sustainable vineyards on Kimmeridgian marl soils, it’s fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel and aged on fine lees, offering a pale straw hue with vibrant complexity.
Tasting Notes
A crisp, vibrant white with citrus and mineral finesse, showcasing Sancerre’s terroir.
The nose reveals citrus, whitecurrant, and white peach, with hints of herbs and chalky minerality. On the palate, it’s light-bodied and perfumed, with bright acidity, a smooth texture, and flavors of lemon, stone fruit, and a clean, mineral finish.
