La Riotte is a highly regarded Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru parcel with argilo-calcaire soils providing finesse and balance between power and elegance, situated in the heart of Côte de Nuits. Hand-harvested grapes undergo long cuvaison (20 days) with regular pigeages and remontages for optimal extraction, followed by 16 months élevage in oak with significant new wood proportion, reflecting Jean-Michel Guillon's approach inspired by Henri Jayer.

Tasting Notes
Brighter nose of freshly crushed red cherry, raspberry, lavender, spice, and subtle wood influence. Delicious finer middleweight palate with subtle minerality adding lift, attractive texture, youthfully austere character, and refined persistence typical of La Riotte's punch and refinement.
