From Domaine Jean-Pierre Guyon in France’s Vosne-Romanée, the Chorey-lès-Beaune Les Bons Ores Rouge 2022 is a refined 100% Pinot Noir sourced from old vines (over 100 years old) in the Les Bons Ores vineyard, featuring clay-limestone soils that impart vibrancy and finesse. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2022 vintage—characterized by warm days and cool nights yielding concentrated yet vibrant fruit—undergo whole-cluster fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 12-18 months' aging in French oak barrels (15% new) to enhance complexity and texture. Certified organic since 2012, this production emphasizes minimal intervention and terroir expression, yielding a ruby red wine with garnet edges and poised intensity.

The nose reveals red cherry, raspberry, and hints of violet, spice, and forest floor. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and harmonious, with fine tannins, bright acidity, and flavors of juicy red berries, earth, and a touch of minerality, leading to a long, graceful finish.

Awards and Accolades The 2022 Chorey-lès-Beaune Les Bons Ores Rouge earned 92 points from Jasper Morris (Inside Burgundy) for its vibrant fruit and refined balance.
