From Domaine Jean-Pierre Guyon in France’s Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, the Aux Herbues Rouge 2023 is a refined 100% Pinot Noir sourced from old vines (over 60 years) in the Aux Herbues vineyard on the Vosne-Romanée border, featuring clay-limestone soils that impart vibrancy and finesse. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2023 vintage—characterized by moderate conditions yielding concentrated yet elegant fruit—undergo whole-cluster fermentation with "tri en nuage" technique in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 12-18 months' aging in French oak barrels (50% new) to enhance complexity and texture. Certified organic since 2012, this production emphasizes minimal intervention and terroir expression, yielding a ruby red wine with garnet edges and poised intensity.
