From La Chablisienne, a historic cooperative founded in 1923 in France's Chablis appellation, the Petit Chablis Pas Si Petit 2023 is a refined 100% Chardonnay sourced from 15-year-old vines on Portlandian limestone and clay soils, which provide freshness and accessibility while hinting at greater complexity. Hand-harvested grapes from the balanced 2023 vintage—marked by steady ripening and cool nights yielding vibrant acidity—undergo cold static settling, followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with aging on fine lees for 6-8 months to preserve purity and enhance texture. Committed to sustainable viticulture across 17 villages, this production yields a pale gold wine with silver reflections and remarkable vibrancy.

Tasting Notes An elegant, mineral-fresh white with vibrant citrus and subtle flinty depth, reflecting Chablis's Portlandian terroir. The nose reveals zesty lemon, white peach, pineapple, and hints of flint and rosemary. On the palate, it is light-bodied and crisp, with lively acidity, delicate fruitiness, and flavors of citrus peel, green apple, and savory minerality, leading to a long, balanced finish.

Awards and Accolades The 2023 Petit Chablis Pas Si Petit earned 90 points from Wine Spectator for its invigorating personality and sleek palate.

Serving and Cellaring Serve chilled at 8-10°C without decanting to maintain freshness. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with oysters, grilled fish, or goat cheese. Enjoy now through 2028, during which it will develop subtle honeyed nuances.
