Bricco Quaglia vineyard (one of Italy's first single-vineyard Moscato bottlings since 1977) features 35+ year-old organically farmed Moscato Bianco vines on calcareous-sandy soils with large diurnal swings preserving acidity and fruit purity. Hand-harvested early morning, gently pressed, naturally fermented to ~5% alcohol with retained natural CO2 for gentle frizzante, no malolactic or oak, rested briefly before screwcap bottling, yielding a low-alcohol (4.5-5%) wine of vivid aromatics and balanced sweetness (~100-120 g/L RS).
Tasting Notes
Pale straw yellow with visible fine perlage; complex nose of ripe peach, sage, honeysuckle, elderflower, fresh grape, green apple, pear, juicy stone fruits, rose, and delicate honey. Lively, juicy palate layers sweet fruit with fine herbs, elegant freshness, balanced sweetness, sparkling texture, and an extremely clean, mineral-driven, mouthwatering finish.
Serving and Cellaring
Serve at 6-8°C in a white wine glass or tulip Champagne flute; no decanting needed. Enjoy young within 2-3 years for maximum fragrance; pairs with fruit desserts, almond pastries, blue cheese, spicy Asian dishes, or as a refreshing aperitif.
