(James Suckling Score 100) This is really a fantastic wine, showing precision and perfection with fantastic aromas of blackberry, spice, lead pencil and subtle graphite. Violets, too. Full-bodied yet so tight and refined with a dense and intense center palate that gives way to wonderful length and energy. It builds on the palate with blackberry, black cherry and stone. Mineral finish. A blend of Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Greatest wine ever from here. Better than 2005, which was number one wine of the year in 2008 from Wine Spectator. Drink or hold.
