Lime Zest, Passionfruit, Crushed Chalk, and Margaret River Coastal Energy

The 2025 Leeuwin Estate "Siblings" Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant, ultra-fresh white from Western Australia's maritime Margaret River region. Crafted by one of the founding family estates, it opens with pure aromas of fresh lime leaf, passionfruit, green papaya, and fragrant lemongrass. Medium-bodied and intensely refreshing, it delivers crunchy tropical and citrus fruit over an energetic spine of natural acidity, finishing crisp, clean, and delicately saline.

Terroir, History & Acclaim

Critical Recognition:
Wine Advocate 92 pts
  • 92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2025 Siblings Sauvignon Blanc leads with passion fruit and basil, thyme and scratched lime zest. Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc is very often concentrated, a little tropical and loaded with flavor. Here, the wine absolutely fits the brief, and it offers tremendous value for money. It is gently textural/chalky, with saline acidity and bright fruit. It is really smart. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
  • The Coastal Margaret River Terroir: Sourced from estate and dedicated grower parcels situated across the southern reaches of Margaret River. The ancient gravelly loams derived from granite bedrock combine with strong maritime influences from both the Indian and Southern Oceans, ensuring cool breezes, low pest pressure, and slow, even flavor development that preserves pure aromatic vitality.
  • The "Siblings" Collection & Minimalist Winemaking: Named in tribute to the second generation of the Horgan family who now direct Leeuwin Estate. Fruit is picked in the cool of the night to retain vibrancy, followed by cold settling and temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation. A very small portion is fermented in seasoned neutral French oak to build subtle palate weight and texture without masking the wine's electric citrus fruit drive.

Highlights

  • 100% Sauvignon Blanc from maritime-influenced sites in Margaret River, Western Australia.
  • Produced by founding estate Leeuwin Estate, highlighting pure aromatic freshness.
  • A crisp, expressive 2025 release; best enjoyed in its vibrant youth from now through 2029+.

Tasting Notes

Pale straw with bright platinum-green reflections, it opens with pure, aromatic bursts of freshly squeezed lime, passionfruit, and green papaya, complemented by nuances of lemongrass, lemon verbena, and crushed sea shells. The palate is medium-bodied, crisp, and linear, carrying zesty tropical and citrus fruit across a lively bed of racy natural acidity, finishing clean, mouth-watering, and distinctly saline.

Serving Suggestion

  • Temperature: Serve chilled at 8–10°C in standard white wine stems.
  • Decanting: Not required; pour fresh from the bottle to enjoy its immediate aromatic intensity. Best enjoyed now through 2029+.
