Legacy Peak Chardonnay Ningxia 2023

From the esteemed Legacy Peak winery in Ningxia, China, the Chardonnay 2023 is a refined white from the Helan Mountain East foothills at 1,246m altitude. Crafted from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from 26-year-old vines on limestone-rich soils near the Xixia King Tombs, it’s hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel and oak. Aged 6 months in French oak, it offers a bright yellow hue and vibrant complexity.

Winemaking Process

Legacy Peak’s meticulous approach, led by winemaker Zhou Shuzhen, defines this wine. The 2023 vintage undergoes gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel and French oak barrels, with partial malolactic fermentation for texture. Aged 6 months in oak, it balances tropical fruit with subtle oak integration, creating a full-bodied yet fresh Chardonnay with a refined, mineral-driven finish.

Tasting Notes
