From Weingut Markus Molitor in Germany’s Mosel Valley, the Riesling Qualitätswein Haus Klosterberg Dry 2023 is a refined 100% Riesling sourced from the historic Haus Klosterberg vineyard near Wehlen, featuring steep slate slopes and traditional basket press methods that emphasize purity and minerality.

Grapes are softly crushed and macerated for several hours on the skins before gentle basket pressing, spontaneously fermented with wild yeasts (part in stainless steel, part in wood), and matured on fine lees to achieve a pure yet intense dry expression that balances ripe fruit with crystalline minerality.

Tasting Notes A precise, energetic dry Mosel Riesling with intense yellow fruit, crushed rock minerality, and saline freshness, delivering a full-bodied yet elegant palate of ripe tropical notes balanced by crystalline, salty acidity and profound depth from steep slate slopes. The nose combines ripe fruit aromas with crystalline mineral substance. On the palate, it is pure yet intense and sustainable, with a savoury, saline, tensioned yet balanced character.
