Musso Pora Barbaresco Riserva 2013

Musso Pora Barbaresco Riserva 2013

From the historic Musso winery in Barbaresco, Piedmont, the Pora Barbaresco Riserva 2013 is a distinguished red from the prestigious Pora cru. Crafted from 100% Nebbiolo, sourced from 2.5 hectares of 65-year-old vines on limestone-clay soils at 240–280 meters, it’s hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel. Aged 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels and 12 months in bottle, it offers a garnet hue and profound complexity.

Winemaking Process

Musso’s traditional craftsmanship elevates this Riserva. The 2013 vintage, from a balanced year, undergoes fermentation in stainless steel with 25 days of maceration and regular pump-overs. Aged 18 months in 50hl Slavonian oak barrels, 18 months in 20hl barrels, and 12 months in bottle, it develops refined tannins and tertiary aromas, creating a harmonious Barbaresco with exceptional aging potential.
