(Allen Meadows Score 91-93) A pure, airy and strikingly complex nose offers up notes of red and dark pinot fruit, earth lavender nuances. There is evident minerality on the moderately powerful and beautifully well-detailed flavors that culminate in balanced, complex and impressively persistent finish. This distinctly firm effort will need at least a decade of bottle age to arrive at its peak.

Founded in 1877, this unusual and interesting company was run for about 30 years by Roland Remoissenet from a stunning 14th century building in Beaune. Annual Production is over 200,000 bottles per year. The company owns 2.5 hectares of Beaune premier crus, including Bressandes, Marconnets and Greves, but their stock is solidified by wines obtained from their negociant business, and the Montrachet vines of Baron Thenard, whom they represent.
