Ried (single vineyard, cru) Renner is situated on the slope of the Ried Gaisberg Riesling terraces.  The soil structure here is getting deeper and is offering more retention for the wines. Beside loess a high proportion of erosion material from primary rock (brownish paragneiss, amphibolite and mica) is the basement of this vineyard.
