Produced in the village of Savigny-lès-Beaune north of Beaune, this white wine comes from Chardonnay vines (with possible minor Pinot Blanc) on the area's varied slopes of limestone and clay soils at 250-400m altitude. Grapes undergo gentle pressing and fermentation partly in oak barrels with lees stirring for richness, followed by maturation of 12-18 months, resulting in 13% alcohol and a structure suited to 3-8 years aging.
Tasting Notes
Pale yellow or gold with green highlights, it displays a flowery nose of lemon, grapefruit, white fruits, butter, and brioche with mineral undertones; the palate is lively yet full and fleshy, with round texture, persistent acidity, subtle spice, and elegant minerality balancing richness.
