Domaine Taupenot-Merme Gevrey-Chambertin 2020

From the esteemed Domaine Taupenot-Merme in Morey-Saint-Denis, the Gevrey-Chambertin 2020 is a refined red from Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, sourced from multiple parcels on clay-limestone soils in Gevrey-Chambertin, it’s hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel and oak vats. Aged 12–15 months in French oak (30% new), it offers a ruby hue and vibrant complexity.

Winemaking Process

Taupenot-Merme’s biodynamic approach defines this wine. The 2020 vintage undergoes gentle fermentation with 20% whole clusters to enhance aroma. Aged 12–15 months in 30% new French oak barrels, it balances fruit purity with structure, creating a village-level Gevrey-Chambertin with elegant tannins and strong aging potential.
