(James Suckling Score 96) Lots of white pepper and nutmeg here, as well as green peppers, juniper berries, dill and coriander. Crystal-clear purity of green and citrus fruit to the medium-to full-bodied palate. Lithe and fruity but grateful and pointed on the very chewy finish. Drink or hold.

Even though the site Brunnenhäuschen, situated east of Morstein, is a pure southern exposure, it ripens very late. This is because of the elevation of the site, up to 240 metres above sea level, and its exposure to the west wind, which despite intense sunlight keeps the temperature here cool at all times.

Clay marl with limestone as well as limestone rock defines the precise and concentrated character of the wine. There are also portions of terra rossa, red soils with high iron oxide content, which impart a creamy minerality to the Rieslings.

""I am left powerless to do any more than breathe in these extraordinary aromas and be amazed by a Riesling perfume of almost supernatural beauty, captivating the senses and richly impressive; a natural beauty that defies description. An absolute dream on the palate, and a poem of pure perfection."
