From Château Haut-Bailly, a renowned Grand Cru Classé estate in Bordeaux's Pessac-Léognan appellation, the La Parde de Haut-Bailly 2015 is a sophisticated second wine, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, sourced from select younger vines on the estate's iconic gravelly, sandy-clay soils. The exceptional 2015 vintage, defined by a warm, dry summer yielding concentrated yet balanced fruit, featured hand-harvested grapes undergoing rigorous sorting, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and 12 months' aging in French oak barrels to foster accessibility and finesse. Rooted in sustainable viticulture, this production yields a deep ruby wine with vibrant depth and refined poise.

Tasting Notes An elegant, structured red with ripe black fruit and smoky graphite, reflecting Pessac-Léognan's gravelly terroir. The nose reveals black cherry, plum, licorice, menthol, and grilled herbs, with hints of smoke, tobacco, and graphite. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied and velvety, with fine tannins, fresh acidity, and flavors of bramble-edged plum, red currant, and raspberry coulis, leading to a racy, savory finish with subtle minerality and spice.

Awards and Accolades The 2015 La Parde de Haut-Bailly earned 92 points from Wine Advocate for its enticing aromatics, smooth texture, and balanced structure.
