Louis Latour Gevrey-Chambertin 2016

Louis Latour Gevrey-Chambertin 2016

From the renowned Maison Louis Latour in Beaune, the Gevrey-Chambertin 2016 is a refined red from Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, sourced from select parcels on clay-limestone soils in Gevrey-Chambertin, it’s hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel. Aged 12–14 months in French oak (30% new), it offers a ruby hue and vibrant complexity, reflecting the balanced 2016 vintage.

Winemaking Process

Latour’s traditional approach defines this wine. The 2016 vintage undergoes gentle fermentation in stainless steel with 15–20 days of maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation in oak. Aging for 12–14 months in 30% new French oak barrels adds subtle structure, creating a medium-bodied Pinot Noir with silky tannins and bright acidity, ideal for both early drinking and aging.
